Daily Encouragement

I thought I might start doing a small daily bit of encouragement to start the day! What better way to begin than through God's word, sets the mood to conquer your steps in front of you on this day.


1 Corinthians 2:12
We have not received the Spirit of the World but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us.


This world can easily gobble us up and chew on us until we break and then slowly spit us out piece by piece. In order to sustain the attacks we must have the Spirit of God working in us. The Spirit transforms our hearts and we become aware and convicted of our sin. What better way to stop a sin than to know what your actions could cause. When we ask God for a pure heart we are cleansed.
Psalm 139:23-24
Search me, God, and know my heart;
   test me and know my anxious thoughts.
See if there is any offensive way in me,
   and lead me in the way everlasting.


We must ask for the full armour of God daily to protect us from the evil one. Here it is below and you can pray this before your day starts. Ephesians 6: 10-17
 ¹⁰ Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. ¹¹ Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. ¹² For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. ¹³ Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. ¹⁴ Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, ¹⁵ and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. ¹⁶ In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. ¹⁷ Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
John 15:5 "Without me, you can do nothing."


The Spirit provides us with Wisdom that comes from God's power. He searches all of God's deepest thoughts, just like our own Spirit knows every detail of our own thoughts. The Spirit gives us guidance and understanding because without the Spirit of God we will rely on human wisdom. And human wisdom is not spiritual and therefore, foolish. 1 Corinthians 2:14
