God can Heal a Broken Heart but He has to have all the Pieces.

Isaiah 40:31 but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength, they will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Letting Go

Last night I heard a radio show host say he once heard, "life is a bunch of seasons filled with letting go."
"Letting go" if googled has a lot of meanings. Letting go of a broken relationship, letting go of a loved one, letting go of a job, letting go of your financial situation, letting go of love, and more and more things to let go.
I thought about the different situations that "letting go" may involve; like letting go of the cord to bunjee jump, letting go to deep sea dive, letting go into a cage to swim with the sharks.
I realized that all of these meanings or situations involved giving up of self. Trusting someone or something that could put you in a state of uncontrollable feelings. Whether pain, anger, resentment, fear, sorrow, or suffering.
But the true and most important part of life is giving up of self, selfish desires, and worldy ways in surrender to the Lord. Ultimate sacrifice and "letting go." Once we can fully trust in God and his plans the other "letting go"  stuff will not seem so hard because you have the most powerful tool at your side. So start "letting go," not for the secular world but for the non-secular reward given by God.
Release yourself and you will find that you are falling into his arms.

  1. Very true. SO very true. Letting go and Letting God is the 'bumper-sticker' that comes to mind on this post. I find its one thing to let go but another thing entirely to not pick it back up. I'm sure God shakes his head lovingly and sighs as I whisk things back out of His hand to try once again to do this thing called life on my own.

  2. Heather, How true is this post!? Sometimes I say, " here you go God...take over" and I only give a part of the reigns....
