God can Heal a Broken Heart but He has to have all the Pieces.

Isaiah 40:31 but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength, they will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Bible Challenge, Portable North Pole, and what God showed me today

90_20_9_prev

This looks like a fun challenge and I hope I can keep up. I work 12 hr shifts right now until I change to my new job and it gets hard to stay consistent with anything. I wish there were more time for my growth with Christ. So many things I want to do and learn that I find it hard to focus on one thing at a time. I'm a little ADD like that. Like right now, I just finished Max Lucado's book John 3:16 and I highly recommend it. Loved the book and there are 40 days with Jesus devotions in the back. So I finished the book today and read the 1st day devotion and I try to do my own personal devotion based on scripture. I am also still doing our marriage mentoring with God's Design For Marriage which has a lot of homework and study with it. I like to read all the lovely writings each writer does on their blogs that inspire and encourage me. Then there are so many things I want to say and write about that I would be posting a book in one blog posting, with all my various thoughts. So you see, I try to do all those things, take care of kids, help with household duties, work, learn to sew, and find time to chat with a friend (which I haven't done in far too long), I feel like I am losing touch in life. I have so many things on my TO DO list that I find I am walking around in circles trying to figure out what to do and when to do it.
A fun Christmas Surprise for your Kiddies:

I wanted to share with any moms a website that I absolutely LOVE! It is a portable Santa who talks to your kids with the information you fill out. We did it last year and Ava was ecstatic over it. The link is http://www.portablenorthpole.tv/home or you can find them on FB at http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=199410016605.
What God Showed Me Today: A Piece of Him

In the book John 3:16 Max Lucado writes, "Jesus offers zoe, the Greek word for 'the life as God has it.' Whereas bios, its sibling term is l ife extensive, zoe is life intensive. Jesus talks less about life's duration and more about its quality, vitality, energy and fulfillment. That is my Zoe, full of vitality, energy and fulfillment. She is a constant reminder of my brother, she acts exactly like he did when he was little. Right down to the mischevious little grin. So to hear zoe is "the life as God has it" brings such joy to my heart. God gave me this little girl who loved her uncle to hang her upside down by her legs to let me know long before I would know it, that he would be giving me back, "the life as God has it." He gives me my brother everytime I look at her and watch how she lights up a room at entrance. You always knew when Richard arrived and you always know when Zoe has too! Oh how God works, marvelous and magical.
With Love,

  2. That's what I love about this Rediscovering Christmas challenge ... it really only takes a few minutes a day. It's even something you can do before you collapse at the end of your busy day. And ... wham! ... Jesus is a part of your day. Can't wait to participate in this journey with you!

  3. That was lovely Heather. The holidays can be really tough when we miss someone more because they should still be with us. Be sure to slow down and enjoy the music because we can never get these moments back. Have a blessed day.
